The all-rounder OP-Z from the Swedish manufacturer Teenage Engineering is not only a synthesizer and 16-track sequencer with 16 individual and independent synthesis, sampler and control tracks, but also a fully-fledged sampler thanks to the recent firmware upgrade. The update allows samples to be recorded via the integrated microphone, a headset and also via USB.
There are also numerous effects on board such as delay, reverb, filter and tremolo, and even DMX light sequencing is possible. An iOS device can be connected via bluetooth and used as a screen with the free app. Since the device, which is just the size of two smartphones, is powered by a built-in battery, it is recommended to anyone who wants to be able to produce electronic music with high-quality components anywhere.
With the latest update to the operating system, the OP-1 field keyboard can now be played with velocity sensitivity. The sensitivity can be adjusted in 3 levels. Further improvements/updates:
