When set up correctly, the sound of a Vibe pedal can be magical, full of smooth swirls and fat bass. This sound captivated players like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, David Gilmour and Doyle Bramhall II and is still highly sought after today. Until now the best versions of these sounds have been big and expensive, but that has now changed with the Ultraviolet, the newest member of the Strymon line!
The Strymon UltraViolet is an extremely accurate recreation of the classic Vibe sounds that began with the original Shin Ei Univibe in the late '60s, but its flexibility goes far beyond those original devices. Strymon has captured all of the original's critical components interactions down to the smallest nuance, but also added a new Blend mode to the original chorus(50/50) and Vibrato (100% wet) settings to create a 70/30 Mix of dry and wet to achieve a more subtle effect . We've also added three different bias settings that allow you to fundamentally alter the vibrato sounds to suit your sound .
