The SSL UF8 is a professional DAW controllers with a unique and innovative feature mix. Up to four devices can be cascaded via USB and used as a 19" unit or desktop controllers .
UF8 offers precise navigation with a multi-function master encoder for DAW timeline access, track banking and mouse wheel emulation. Dual assignable buttons allow for quick recall of selected functions as well as soloing and muting in Pro Tools and Logic Pro. New CHANNEL and PLUG-IN controls offer improved workflows for those using UF8 with Pro Tools, with easy access to sends and plug-ins without stifling creativity.
Each UF8 is equipped with 43 assignable keys spread across 5 configurable banks, allowing the user to configure their most important key combinations and macros for extensive control of the DAW session. Up to four UF8s can be connected together via the THRU connection to form a 32-channel controllers, perfect for large post-production or mixing sessions.
UF8 integrates with all major DAWs and includes pre-built templates for Ableton® Live™, Cubase™/Nuendo™, Pro Tools®, Logic Pro®, Studio One®, LUNA™ and Pyramix™. Many producers and engineers prefer to split their creative process across multiple DAWs. UF8 is uniquely flexible and supports SSL's "Open DAW Policy" - control 3 different DAWs simultaneously and keep your production and mixdown process flexible.
SSL 360° is the central software application and the heart of UF8. It is a cross-platform application for Mac and Windows. With SSL 360° you can configure your UF8 for your DAW, adjust the user keys and save and load profiles, with all changes also being saved automatically. SSL 360° also manages software and firmware updates for you.
For perfect setup, each UF8 is equipped with adjustable feet that allow six different tilt angles for individual positioning. In order to be able to start the creative production process straight away, software licenses for the SSL Native plug-ins Vocalstrip 2 and Drumstrip are also included
