UC1 is a hardware plug-in controllers like no other. The layout of encoders, switches and color groupings provides professional SSL console ergonomics, seamlessly integrated with the most advanced SSL channel strip and bus compressor plug-ins to date. Multiple parameters can be controlled simultaneously and precisely, providing you with a production tool that not only promotes muscle memory while providing unmatched tonal flexibility, but also increases the mixer's confidence in his decisions.
The heart of the UC1 system is the SSL 360° plug-in mixer. Here you can see and control all of your 360° capable channel strips and bus compressors in one place. The 360° Plug-in Mixer provides an efficient way to interact with multiple plugins simultaneously, further bridging the gap between console and in-the-box workflows.
UC1 provides dedicated controls for all key 4K B and Channel Strip 2 plug-in parameters. EQ, filter, compressor and gate/expander controls offer the same configuration and visual feedback as the large SSL consoles.
The central element of the UC1 are the bus compressor controls. The authentic layout and display gives the impression that you are controlling a hardware bus compressor built into the center section of an SSL console. Featuring a classic moving coil gain reduction meter, as found in SSL consoles since the 1970s, it perfectly represents the bus compressor's time constants and gain reduction characteristics so producers and engineers know exactly how to respond to their needs Instruments, sub groups and of course the mix bus reacts.
Perpetual plug-in licenses for SSL 4K B, Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor 2 plug-ins are including with UC1. The 4K B plug-in is an authentic emulation of the SL 4000 B channel strip - full of sound, punch and rich non-linear analog character. Channel Strip 2 is a full-featured channel strip based on the digital modeling of the EQ and Dynamics curves of the legendary XL 9000 K SuperAnalogue console. Bus Compressor 2 is the ultimate SSL Bus Compressor plug-in with additional ratio, attack and release options and oversampling.
