Product information

The Sandberg California LY Bass is a signature model from Beatsteaks bassist Torsten Scholz, who is the owner of several Sandberg basses. Now the Sandberg company is building its very own signature model, which is impressive. The alder body, painted in Letterbox Yellow, is well worn and looks very authentic. A 6-fold screwed maple neck is attached to it. The choice of fingerboard material was also made of maple in order to ensure a quick tone response and more brilliance. Visually, this is rounded off with pearloid block inlays and a matched headstock headstock. The pickup, in this case two Seymour Duncan SJB2, were embedded in the body at special positions and thus ensure a balanced sound. A somewhat atypical but entirely sensible change was made to this California bass: the strings are pulled through the body. This puts more pressure on the bridge and the vibration of the strings can be better transmitted to the entire body. The Sandberg bass company was founded in 1987 by Holger Stonjek and a business partner in Braunschweig. The company then quickly made a name for itself in the woofer community, because Sandberg 's appearance, sound, quality and, last but not least, price are right.
