Since the 1970s, Charles “Bud” Ross has built a whole range of effects pedals. The distinctive feature of the pedals was the always the same, highly resistant enclosure , each with a different finish depending on the effect type, with a simple controls layout that was limited to the two most important parameters in the setting of the respective effect type. Ross Pedals had a large fan base then, as it does today, and the manufacturer's Vintage pedals are now sold at sometimes utopian prices.
Lovers of the Ross Pedals brand can now breathe a sigh of relief: Josh Scott from JHS Pedals, a pedal genius and self-confessed fan of the old Ross effects, has revived the brand. The classic Ross pedals such as Compressor, Distortion, Phaser and chorus are of course back in the range as well as a new creation in Vintage style: the Ross Fuzz. Fans of the brand are no longer forced to buy a Vintage pedal at horrendous prices, but instead have the opportunity to purchase brand new Ross effects for the first time in a long time.
