Roland V-Stage Series
short & sweet

In this video you'll learn everything you need to know about the V-Stage's four advanced sound engines, intuitive operation and exceptional playability.

Renowned Roland sounds

The V-Stage keyboards include four independent sound engines that combine the best of Roland's behavior modeling and sound generation technologies in one device. Each sound engine has a separate section with independent controls, allowing for a seamless playing workflow.

Acoustic Piano

Acoustic Piano

Full-sounding, dynamic pianos based on V-Piano technology, including two concert grand pianos, an upright piano and a model treated with felt for a unique, mellow sound. While pure sample systems have to contend with various limitations, the powerful DSP enables a natural response, limitless expressiveness and full polyphony.

Electric Piano

Electric Piano

The newly developed EP engine includes Tine, Reed and Digital Pianos as well as Clavinet instruments, based on the latest SuperNATURAL developments. Split, octave, detune and key touch functions are available for customization, supplemented by a new sound lift control for more assertiveness in full band mixes. Furthermore, selectable MFX effects, a tremolo and an amplifier simulation are at your fingertips.

Organ

Organ

This section includes a three-stage console organ based on the renowned Roland Virtual Tone Wheel technology, two classic transistor models and a pipe organ. The controllable drawbars and percussion elements create an authentic organ playing experience, which is further enhanced by overdrive, vibrato/chorus and a rotary speaker effect with variable speed and microphone position.

Synthesizer

Synthesizer

Discover over 400 integrated ZEN-Core sounds for every style of music. Choose from two simultaneous parts that you can edit quickly and directly via attack and release, filters and other parameters. The V-STAGE keyboards are compatible with the optional ZEN-Core patch and sound collections in the Roland Cloud, including model expansions based on the JUPITER-8, JUNO-106 and other Roland vintage analog synthesizers (free download for registered owners).

Efficient live workflow

The ergonomic V-Stage user interface was developed to make music without detours. With the combination of intuitive layout, informative color LCD and hands-on top-level control, you can customize sounds in no time. Optimize sounds with the Total Effects section and a large selection of effects from the Roland library. In addition, an EQ and compressor are available in the master section to quickly and easily adjust the overall sound to the respective venue.

Full live control

Save and manage sounds in 512 scenes. Each scene contains a complete keyboard setup of up to five sounds and all available effects. Create chains of up to 128 scenes to quickly and easily recall them according to your set list, including seamless sound transitions. The four rear connections provide you with numerous external control options, including hold/damper pedals, footswitches and expression pedals. You can also use the two USB inputs to connect MIDI controllers such as the A-49 or the A-PRO series.

Inspiring playing feel

The V-Stage models are equipped with outstandingly playable Roland keyboards on which you can experience the first-class sounds of the respective instruments in all their facets. The V-Stage 88 provides an authentic acoustic piano experience with its weighted 88-note Hammer Action keyboard with escapement and Ivory Feel keys. Alternatively, the V-Stage 76 offers a newly developed waterfall keyboard with 76 semi-weighted keys for a traditional organ playing experience.

Variety of connections

Connect your V-Stage to the house PA and stage monitors. There is a choice of balanced main outputs in XLR and 6.3 mm jack format as well as two balanced sub outputs that can be fed with separate signals. Audio and MIDI data can also be transferred between the V-Stage and a laptop or mobile device on stage via USB-C. Connect an XLR microphone and sing while you play. Alternatively, you can connect an external instrument, such as a drum machine or another keyboard, via the stereo line input.

About Roland

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various music materials and studio technology on April 18, 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to come onto the market were the first rhythm machines from the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a significant influence on both techno and electro music, as well as hip hop scene. The JC-120 Jazz chorus guitar amplifier was also created in the mid-1970s, and both Andy Summers from The Police as well as Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield from Metallica were audibly impressed by its ultra-clear sound in conjunction with the built-in chorus effect . Since then and to this day, Roland has continuously expanded its catalog with high-quality and interesting products in a wide variety of fields such as digital pianos, groove boxes, e-drums and synthesizers.
