Popular and improved again
Building on the entry-level model FP-10, the FP-30X offers entry into the higher FP-X series. Stylish design and compact dimensions. The portable digital piano offers quality and superior performance with an expanded sound engine, more integrated speakers and higher polyphony . The FP-30X already features Roland SuperNATURAL piano technology and has the same expressive PHA-4 standard keyboard with 88 keys as the FP-60X. Ideal as a home instrument for ambitious players.
Natural response and authentic sound
With the PHA-4 standard keyboard, the FP-30X is superior to other models. 88 full-size keys, hammer action, pressure point simulation and ivory feel ensure a playing feel like that of large acoustic instruments. The powerful Roland SuperNATURAL sound engine serves as the basis for this authentic playing feeling. Every nuance of playing the piano is implemented as naturally as possible.

Impressive sound
The FP-30X's integrated stereo loudspeaker have a surprising amount of power and character. In conjunction with the sound engine, they convey the entire expressive diversity of piano playing. For larger audiences, an external speaker system can be connected via the portable piano's output jacks. A separate mode for optimized sound player is available for placement on a table. Two headphone outputs enable silent practice together, for example with a piano teacher.
Compact with potential
Thanks to its compact design and low weight , the FP-30X can be easily set up anywhere. The digital piano can also be easily expanded. The KSC-70 stand and the KPD-70 pedal can be purchased optionally for an authentic upright playing experience.

bluetooth and USB
Use bluetooth and the USB capability of the FP-30X for even more possibilities. Music can be played via bluetooth audio from mobile devices via the piano loudspeaker or headphones . At the same time you can practice on the instrument . In addition to the possibility of using online lessons, a wireless connection to apps such as Garageband or Zenbeats can be established via bluetooth midi . Your own ideas can be recorded using the integrated recording function and transferred to a PC at a later date via USB .
The FP series: portable pianos for every musical journey
The FP series combines mobile design, outstanding playability and professional functions and represents a modern generation of portable pianos. Groundbreaking sound engines combined with responsive keyboards - packed into slim and mobile enclosure.
The FP-30x – the bestseller improved again
For years, the predecessor FP-30 was, quite rightly, one of the best-selling instruments in the price segment. The combination of value for money, quality and equipment was simply convincing. The successor FP-30X now presents itself with improvements in detail and increased performance, at the same price, as an extremely powerful stage piano for at home and on the go.
More feel
The low-noise PHA-4 standard keyboard with 88 keys and hammer action , already known from its predecessor, is simply unbeatable in this price range. It already has a pressure point simulation and ivory feel finish that is unusual in this price range. The weight of the hammers is graduated to replicate the lighter treble and heavier bass hammers of a mechanical piano keyboard. This means excellent control of velocity and key travel and no bouncing or rattling when the keys are released. The ivory-like key surface absorbs finger moisture, giving the musician a non-slip finish and excellent playing control.
The pedals can be individually adapted to each application. The optional FP-10 single damper pedal (included in including : DP-2 footswitch) with half pedal function is ideal for mobile use.
In standby mode (in conjunction with the KSC-70 stand), however, the fixed pedal unit KPD-70 can be installed. This expands the FP-30X to include 3 pedals of a grand piano.
More sound
The "Super Natural" sound generation has been doubled compared to its predecessor to 256 times the polyphony , which means that it is able to produce 256 tones at the same time. This is an advantage if you let all the tones played fade out while holding down the damper without causing a break in the sound.
This – and the expanded selection of 12 piano and grand piano sounds, 20 electric pianos, 24 mixed sounds, plus GM sounds and drum kits – is unique in this price range and makes the FP-30X an extremely powerful instrument.
In addition, an incredible number of acoustic characteristics of the piano sounds can be individually adjusted using the free “Piano Designer App” via the bluetooth connection with a smartphone or tablet, thus adapting the sound character to your own taste and playing.
These include authentic strings and damper resonance models, adjustable intensity of hammer return and damper noises - even whether the lid of the simulated grand piano is open or closed can be adjusted.
Even in the smallest of spaces, the 12cm loudspeaker with 2x11 watts of power reproduce the sound clearly and transparently. The loudspeaker have enough power to easily provide sound for smaller concerts or lessons. The possibility of adapting the sound of the loudspeaker to the respective installation location (e.g. table or stand ) using the sound profiles is luxurious.
Of course, there are also two headphone outputs for a teacher-student situation - usefully on the front left of the device so that the kabelführung does not get in the way.
More contemporary technology
Instead of integrated technology, Roland relies entirely on bluetooth connections and USB connections .
Playbacks or online courses from a tablet, smartphone or computer can be played via the loudspeaker of the FP-30X via the bluetooth audio connection. bluetooth midi is practical for connecting to contemporary external apps, such as "Roland Piano Every Day", which support the learning process, while connecting to DAW programs such as Apple Garage Band turns the piano into a small studio.
Since the sound generation of the FP-30X is designed to be multitimbral for playing midi files (several different sounds can be played at the same time), the entire sound collection can also be used for midi recording, as well as composing and arranging on the computer.
In contrast to its predecessor, the FP-30X can now send not only midi but also audio data via USB cable , which means the piano can now be easily integrated into the DAW of an audio computer. Of course, midi playbacks in SMF format can also be played via USB stick. Also new is the audio output for connection to mixing consoles or loudspeaker systems.
More mobility
The entire technology of the FP-30X is contained in a pleasantly compact enclosure.
Weighing only 14.8 weight and 1.30 m width , the FP-30X is comfortable and easy to transport. The matching, optional CB-B88V2 soft case protects during transport.
For those who mainly play the instrument at home and only occasionally transport it, the stable and more visually appealing expansion with the optional KSC-70 stand in conjunction with the KPD-70 pedal unit is ideal. This allows you to achieve the feel and stability of the large floor-standing models with less space required and greater flexibility.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various music materials and studio technology on April 18, 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to come onto the market were the first rhythm machines from the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a significant influence on both techno and electro music, as well as hip hop scene. The JC-120 Jazz chorus guitar amplifier was also created in the mid-1970s, and both Andy Summers from The Police as well as Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield from Metallica were audibly impressed by its ultra-clear sound in conjunction with the built-in chorus effect . Since then and to this day, Roland has continuously expanded its catalog with high-quality and interesting products in a wide variety of fields such as digital pianos, groove boxes, e-drums and synthesizers.
