The CY-14R-T V-Cymbal has a significantly thinner profile than previous generations and offers an organic and expressive playing experience with a smooth response, improved stick feel and natural vibration behavior like an acoustic drum kit. Additionally, the CY-14R-T's elegant, textured surface design ensures an authentic acoustic look on stage.
On most V-Drums modules, the sensor system can be configured for use as a ride-cymbals (Bow/ bell) or crash-cymbals (Bow/Edge). Triple trigger via two cable in combination with modern V-Drums modules for separate edge, bow and bell sounds. In addition, cymbals chokes can be created like an acoustic cymbals by holding the edge.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various music materials and studio technology on April 18, 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to come onto the market were the first rhythm machines from the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a significant influence on both techno and electro music, as well as hip hop scene. The JC-120 Jazz chorus guitar amplifier was also created in the mid-1970s, and both Andy Summers from The Police as well as Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield from Metallica were audibly impressed by its ultra-clear sound in conjunction with the built-in chorus effect . Since then and to this day, Roland has continuously expanded its catalog with high-quality and interesting products in a wide variety of fields such as digital pianos, groove boxes, e-drums and synthesizers.
