Rode Microphones was founded in Sydney, Australia in 1967 and is a renowned manufacturer of microphones and accessories. Since the beginning of the 1990s, Rode have established themselves in the home recording and audio sectors with inexpensive microphones. The initial focus was on large diaphragm condenser microphones such as the Rode NT1-A , which has been on the market since 1995. Thanks to the outstanding price-performance ratio and low noise, it is one of the most successful models and is still used by many musicians as their first studio microphone and on numerous recordings. The Rode product portfolio was later expanded to include dynamic microphones and directional microphones and to this day there is at least one Rode microphone in most professional studios.
