About Dustie Waring
As a member of the Grammy-nominated band Between The Buried And Me, Dustie Waring has helped define and redefine progressive metal for nearly two decades. The band has released one groundbreaking album after another, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible in heavy music.
After a successful limited series of custom 24 Floyds, Dustie collaborated with PRS to develop the Dustie Waring CE 24. The Dustie Waring CE 24 is one of the most aggressive yet articulate models PRS has ever offered.

The artist about his guitar
“This model was the most stable and comfortable instrument I have ever played. I put it through its paces and it made me proud to have my name on it.”
Dustie Waring
Elegant look and articulate sound
The DW CE 24 is based on the PRS CE 24 Bolt-On and features a satin maple neck, a maple fingerboard, a slightly modified Pattern Thin neck shape (Dustie's profile becomes thinner from front to back) and either a Floyd Rose system or a hardtail bridge. Manufactured with Alnico 5 magnets and a special winding technique, Mojotone's signature Dustie Waring Gen 2 Tomahawk pickups have plenty of output and a powerful bottom end while remaining articulate and clear - a unique features for high- gain pickups. Paired with a volume and tone controls and a 5-way switches , the DW CE 24 is comfortable, fun and inspiring to play. The DW CE 24 comes with satin black hardware and is available in multiple color options including Dustie's signature finish: Waring Burst.
The most important features at a glance
Here we briefly introduce you to the most important and striking features of the PRS Dustie Waring CE 24:

Bird inlays
Of course, the fretboard of the Dustie Waring CE 24 is decorated with bird inlays, like most PRS guitars. What is unusual, however, is the color of the inlays: black.

Low-mass locking tuning machines
PRS own lightweight low-mass locking tuning machines make stringing the Dustie Waring CE 24 child's play and always keep your guitar in the right tuning.

Mojotone DW Gen 2 Tomahawk pickups
The Mojotone Dustie Waring Gen 2 Tomahawks are made with high-quality magnets and a special winding technology. They have a lot of output and a fat bass, but always sound articulate and clear.

PRS Guitars sets its own standards when it comes to electric guitars. At session you will find not only the high class PRS custom shop guitars but also models from the mid-price range and electric basses from PRS. At NAMM 2016, PRS is taking a look into the past and, with the CE 24 models, has been presenting guitars with screw-on neck and maple necks in their main range for many years, which offer an interesting alternative to traditional construction. Later, the collaboration with John Mayer resulted in an incredibly successful instrument, the Silver Sky series, which was initially supplemented by additional colors and later by a cheaper SE series .
Through his great passion for guitar building and meticulous research and optimization of his models, company founder Paul Reed Smith has been creating instruments that are rightly considered true works of art for over 40 years. Not only guitar legends like Carlos Santana play the high-quality PRS guitars from the standard series, the exclusive Private Stock or even the cheaper SE production.
Paul Reed Smith is making a name for himself
The American guitar maker PRS Guitars was officially founded in 1985, but the company's founder and namesake, Paul Reed Smith, has been making guitars since around 1975. By giving his guitars to stars like Carlos Santana, Al Di Meola and Peter Frampton and convincing them directly, his instruments became more and more famous. Series production of the Custom 24 finally began in 1985. With former Gibson President Ted McCarty, Paul Reed Smith was able to gain an experienced consultant and the course was set for success for the guitars with the typical bird inlays in the fretboard .
Every guitar is a custom shop model
PRS guitars tend to be in the higher price ranges because of the high-quality materials and careful workmanship. The SE line, which has been manufactured in Korea and is of a high quality despite cheaper materials, has existed since the 1990s. The S2 series forms a link because the instruments are made in the USA, but are still quite affordable.
PRS calls all instruments custom shop instruments due to the high quality and customization options, but with the private stock instruments the company goes one step further and sets real standards in terms of materials, quality, originality and individuality. All PRS guitars have one thing in common: they are real workhorses with a lot of flexibility and look outrageously good at the same time. This can also be seen in the countless endorsers who swear by their PRS , as well as the numerous signature models from artists such as John Mayer, Carlos Santana, Orianthi, Mark Tremonti and Chad Kroeger.
