NUX NDD-7 Tape echo is a homage to the Japanese Space echo from 1974. Analog tape echo devices record incoming audio signals onto a magnetic tape loop and then play the endless loop through the playback head before it is deleted again by new incoming audio signals. The Space echo devices used the usual 1/4-inch tape, which, however, is not on tape reels, but rather loose in a so-called tape chamber (tape tank). This construction / acoustic results in lower noise, less pitch fluctuations and less tape wear. NUX TAPE ECHO uses Core Image technology to reproduce these characteristics. The detailed pedal offers many adjustable parameters such as Bass, Treble, Repeat Rate, Intensity, echo, Volume, reverb as well as physical tape characteristics such as Wow, Flutter, Saturation . Even self-regeneration and self-oscillation can be adjusted.
