Thanks to the huge selection of high-quality amp simulations, numerous effects and intuitive operation via the touchscreen display , the Neural DSP Quad Cortex is the all-in-one, anywhere solution for the modern musician. In addition to the excellent sound, the neural capture technology and the constantly growing sound library, the versatile connection options and the easy integration into almost any setup are the focus of the Quad Cortex.

All necessary settings can be made using the very high-quality and responsive display . In addition, parameter values can be controlled manually using the rotatable footswitch .

In the upper half of the display, a signal flow with various effects is shown in this image. The individual objects are moved using drag & drop. The corresponding values are shown in the lower half of the display. An adjustment is made directly with your finger or the respective knobs.

Neural capture technology

The Quad Cortex allows you to capture, share and download the sounds of your favorite amp setups. The unique biomimetic AI technology allows the device to learn and replicate the tonal characteristics of physical amplifiers, overdrive effects pedals and cabinets with unprecedented realism.

Unlike other solutions, the advanced neural network algorithm uses a perception of sound that is similar to that of humans. This makes the Quad Cortex the most natural-sounding capture solution in the world. Cortex Cloud

Discover other users, presets and neural captures via the Cortex mobile app for iOS and Android devices. By linking a Neural DSP account to the Quad Cortex, backups can be created, content can be shared, and items can be downloaded by other users. Access to the Impulse Response Library will also be released. From there, IRs can be transferred to the Quad Cortex and the IRs stored in an account can be managed.

2.0.0 CorOS Update: Hybrid Mode and more!

Hybrid mode can be customized using the new Mode configuration option in the main menu. Each footswitch can be assigned a separate operating mode. Hybrid Mode is for musicians who want to quickly access new presets while still having granular control within their active preset through the inclusion of Stomp Mode or Scene Mode. A Hybrid Mode can be created from any of the three available modes . Additionally, modes that are no longer used can be removed to switch between three, two or just one active mode!

Further updates include a global bypass for cabinet or impulse response simulations (Cab/IR), a master equalizer (EQ), an assignment option for the master volume controls, a gain reduction display, device versioning, a tap tempo - Scene change function , scene bypass behavior and an IR loading block.

1.4.0 Cortex Mobile now available

Cortex Mobile 1.4.0 is now available on the App Store and Google Play. The new version displays additional information when a preset is displayed, such as the devices used and the scenes configured.

The following features have been added:

preset metadata: Users can now see a list of devices used in a preset , including the models' official manufacturer names.
preset Scenes: Users can now view the scenes configured for a preset and switch between them to visualize the bypass status of each device.

The following functions have been changed:

Users can now edit or delete their uploaded presets or captures on their profile.
Several small changes have been made to the user interface and backend.
The preset Devices and Scenes buttons appear below the preset description .
The preset Devices page lists all the devices used in the preset and displays the manufacturer and product name where possible.
On the Scenes page, the drop-down menu or footswitch can be used to display the names of each configured Scene in the preset , as well as the bypass status of the devices in use. In a future version it will be possible to interact with the devices to see parameter settings and more.

1.3.0 CorOS Update: New looper function

With the release of the CarOS 1.3.0 update (click on the link to the manufacturer for all information about the release) in 2022, the Quad Cortex has now had a looper function implemented. Recording time is up to four minutes and 44 seconds. For maximum creativity, the looper can be freely positioned on the grid!
