THE NEW REFERENCE IN CLOSE MICROPHONING
The Miniature Clip Mic MCM system sets the bar high for electret microphones. In typical Neumann style, the system perfectly reproduces the characteristic sound of acoustic instruments in live applications. It defines new standards, for example for natural sound, handiness, reliable fastenings and durability. The system includes nine instrument-specific mounting clips for a variety of acoustic instruments. The overall modular design allows individual components to be easily replaced and guarantees an exceptionally attractive return on investment.
THE CAPSULE: PERFECTION IN EIGHT PARTS
A new level of tonal balance, a more natural bass and midrange as well as transparent highs: The newly developed KK 14 with cardioid pattern leaves previous limitations of the electret principle behind and fully reproduces the characteristic sound of acoustic instruments. Neumann has developed a unique, layer-based design for this purpose. All components have been designed for optimal power , are manufactured individually and then assembled by hand. The strict quality control guarantees a previously unattainable level of sound consistency: every capsule sounds exactly the same and delivers a typically neutral Neumann sound. This saves time during setup and sound check, because manufacturing tolerances no longer have to be compensated for using EQ. With an extremely low inherent noise (23 dBA) and a maximum sound pressure level of 153 dB SPL, the KK 14 delivers perfect sound with both very quiet and very loud instruments. The titanium housing is extremely robust and designed for live use for several years.
COMPATIBILITY
The Miniature Clip Mic MCM system includes interchangeable cable for 3.5 mm jack plugs, Lemo, Mini-XLR 4 Pin and MicroDot - adapter are not necessary. The microphone can also be used wired with the MCM 100 output stage and 3.5 mm jack plug.
MOUNTING OPTIONS
As simple as it is reliable on any instrument: a wide range of mounting options is a fundamental part of the Miniature Clip Mic MCM system. The mechanics protect the most sensitive surfaces and reduce mounting to seconds - usually with just one hand. The flexible gooseneck can be precisely aligned and fixed to the instrument clips in one or two axes in 45 degree increments.
