Moog Muse

The Moog Muse synthesizer is here and brings a breath of fresh air to the world of analog sound generation! With its purchase price, the Muse belongs to the upper class, but you get a lot in return with the 61-key synthesizer. This synth monster is perfect for anyone who is looking for an outstanding sound and is prepared to go all out for it. With THIS control panel, however, this request is certainly one of the easier exercises ;-)

The Muse is the fourth polyphonic synthesizer from Moog and offers eight voices and a bi-timbral polyphonic architecture. It is the result of over five years of intensive development and passion. The synthesizer combines Moog's rich history with a bold step into the future.

Intuitive user interface
with one-key-per-function!

What immediately catches the eye are the many buttons, toggle switches and knobs that are reminiscent of classic synthesizers from days long gone. This retro design evokes the mojo of yesteryear for producers and keyboardists and brings nostalgic feelings back to music production. However, it is not only a visual highlight, but also a tactile experience. The intuitive user interface, which is designed according to the "one-button-per-function" principle and offers endless possibilities for extensive hands-on experimentation with 44 knobs, 16 sliders and 129 buttons, will inspire your creative process.

The sound generation
100% analog!

The sound generation of the Moog Muse is based on analog technology and therefore offers VCOs, VCAs, VCFs and VCMs. With its three oscillators and a noise generator, one of which functions as a versatile modulation oscillator, the Muse opens up unimagined possibilities. The modulation oscillator can be used as a modulation driver, assignable envelopes or random generator and is routed via the 16 modulation slots per voice and patch. Two switchable VCFs (one of them from highpass to lowpass), two LFOs and an analog ring modulator provide you with all the tools you need for creative sound design.

Oscillators & ring modulator

The analog oscillators offer selectable triangle/sawtooth mixes, variable width pulse waves, different octave levels, FM routing and amount as well as hard sync. An analog ring modulator enables ring modulation between oscillators 1 and 2.

Modulation oscillator

The modulation oscillator offers a selection of waveforms, an audio range switch, keyboard tracking & reset, unipolar switch and a wide range of modulation options for pitch, filter, pulse width, VCA and panning.

Noise generator & mixer

An analog noise generator and an analog mixer with independent level control for the various oscillators and an overload control round off the package.

Moog transistor ladder filter

The Muse uses a classic Moog transistor ladder filter. This offers switchable highpass/lowpass modes, cutoff frequency, resonance and various routing options.

In addition, the Moog Muse has two envelopes that provide attack, decay, sustain and release with variable curves per stage as well as multi-trig and loop functions.

Diffusion delay effect

A morphable stereo processor inspired by vintage digital rack delays of the 80s, with left and right delay times, feedback, character and mix settings as well as an analog bypass switch for unique sound changes and gives your sound a special touch.

More features:
Arpeggiator, Step-Sequencer & Voice-Control

Also on board are an arpeggiator and a sequencer with 64 steps. They provide additional creative possibilities, with the sequencer offering extensive modulation capabilities and memory capacity for 16 banks with 16 sequences.

The Programmer allows easy browsing and editing of patches via the OLED screen.

And Voice Control allows mono or poly voice count per timbre, unison/mono, detune, timbre editing and voice stealing configuration.

Who should take a look at the Muse?

The Muse is perfect for:

  • the Muse's powerful sound quality and versatile features make it an indispensable tool in the studio and on stage.

  • Synth enthusiasts: If you love synths and enjoy exploring new worlds of sound, you won't want to put the Muse down.

  • Sound designers: With its extensive modulation options and precise control, you can create sounds you've only dreamed of.

  • Existing Moog fans: If you're already a Mooger, you'll recognize the familiar, warm sounds of Moog in Muse while enjoying the new, exciting features.
