Similar to the China of the same name, Matt Garstkas' Equilibrium Hihat offers a unique balance between attack, sound, response and volume. Different zones of the cymbal were tuned to produce a particularly bright sound , while others were left unfinished to enhance the attack and bite. The dry character of the Equilibrium Hihat, however, is due to the sand blasting in other areas of the pool. Six holes on the rim of the bell of the bottom cymbal give the hihat additional chic when played with your foot. This signature model from Matt Garstka offers a wide range of dynamics and can be used in a wide variety of situations: starting with a washy sound, through a short, crisp attack to an assertive chick. ?When I play an instrument , I want it to work in every situation.
