The semi-hollow body of this Maybach guitar is made from the finest maple veneer, which gives it a warm and resonant basic sound. The body shape follows the traditional ES model and creates a voluminous sound with plenty of sustain. Perfect for anyone who values an expressive and multifaceted sound . The glued-in mahogany neck offers optimal playability and stability. With 22 frets and a fretboard made of fine rosewood, you have enough space to give free rein to your musical ideas. The white dot fretboard inlays not only give the electric guitar a classic look, but also make it easier to find your way around the fretboard.
Another highlight of the Maybach Capitol '59 are the two humbucker pickups. The Amber Spirit of '59 at the bridge and neck position provide a dynamic and lively sound that covers everything from blues to rock, making the Maybach Capitol '59 a versatile guitar that is suitable for both gentle melodies and powerful riffs. The 3-way toggle pickup selector switch allows you to quickly and easily switch between the different pickup configurations. The passive pickups deliver a warm and natural tone. You can further refine and adjust your sound with the two volume and tone controls. The Tune-O-Matic bridge ensures excellent intonation and enables precise adjustment of the string height. The strings thickness ex factory is .010 - .046, and a set of D'Addario EXL110 is installed.
The nitrocellulose finish is not only a visual highlight, but also contributes to the resonance and Vintage character of the guitar. The design of the Maybach Capitol is based on one of the most famous semi-hollowbody guitars of all time. However, the instrument from the Czech premium guitar workshop Maybach is much more than a copy: it scores with the best workmanship, an independent sound, new, fresh colors and authentic aged finishes with nitro lacquer. Every Maybach Capitol is delivered in a high-quality wooden case.
From the very beginning, the still young company Maybach had made it its mission not only to produce instruments of the best possible quality, but also to consistently implement this with the label “Made in Europe”. This vision was developed over three years of intensive and consistent preparation. When Maybach brought the first guitars onto the market in 2011, this concept was successfully put into practice. Today, Maybach instruments are extremely popular not only in Europe but also worldwide and Maybach has even launched a Masterbuilt line of guitars to suit even the most demanding musicians. The different models such as the Stradovarius , the Teleman and the Capitol all bow to their historical role models without having to hide from them.
