Ibanez Sound Gear
The basses from the Ibanez Soundgear series shine with above-average playability - the well-balanced body and the slim neck enable fatigue-free playing, even over a longer period of time. Available in various equipment and price ranges.
The Soundgear Bass, with its slim, smooth body and super comfortable, slim neck , has been a favorite among progressive bassists for nearly 3 decades. The latest evolution of this iconic instrument is the introduction of the new PowerSpan Dual Coil (PDC) pickup and the new 3-band EQ with Power Tap switches. The feel and look are the same, but the sound takes this classic instrument into a new era. Ibanez is now proud to announce huge upgrades to the SR300 series .
The PowerSpan dual-coil pickup with exposed pole pieces deliver a stronger signal and increase the response of the higher frequencies without affecting the low frequencies. The result is a tone rich in harmonic detail and dynamic expression.
The 3-band EQ works in conjunction with a coil tap switch for maximum control over a variety of professional bass tones. Tap mode (single coil) produces a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation. Series (Humbucking) mode delivers a full, warm tone, and Power Tap mode offers the best of both worlds - combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker.
Along with the new improved tonal characteristics, the great staples of the SR series have been retained: mahogany body for SR300E and maple body for SR370E, SR 5-piece maple/rosewood neck, Accu-Cast B120 bridge. All of these specs come together to create truly impressive bass.

The Japanese instrument manufacturer Ibanez can look back on a long tradition in guitar and bass building. While Ibanez initially stood out with idiosyncratic copies of traditional models from manufacturers such as Gibson and Fender , independent series gradually came onto the market, such as the Iceman, JEM, Artcore and RG. In the 1980s, the manufacturer made a name for itself, especially in the heavy sector, with its instruments that shone with modern features, individual design and excellent playability. Innovations such as the 7- and 8-string guitars, which emerged from the fruitful collaboration with artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Meshuggah, did the rest to establish Ibanez 's good reputation. Today the manufacturer offers an extensive range, ranging from entry-level guitars and basses to unusual custom shop models. Ibanez also knows how to impress when it comes to effects devices and amplifier model , as the classic TS9 Tubescreamer proves. With us you will find a comprehensive selection of guitars, basses, amplifiers, effects and accessories from Ibanez.
