The Gibson SJ-200 is one of the most famous acoustic guitars and has earned its titel as the "King of the Flat Tops". Since its first release in 1937, the Super Jumbo has enjoyed great popularity among live artists, studio musicians and amateur guitarists alike and is one of the most played guitars.
The most striking features of the SJ-200 Original are the mustache-style rosewood bridge, a tortoise pickguard with floral graphics similar to the pickguards on the Hummingbird and Dove models, and Crown fingerboard inlays made of mother-of-pearl, as well as a custom inlay on the headstock. Another highlight is the body made of beautifully flamed maple, which creates a particularly elegant look. The antique natural finish also provides the Vintage feel that goes with this American classic.
An LR Baggs VTC pickup with pre-amp is installed on the amplifier model for the perfect sound . The volume and tone controls are installed in the sound hole so that the strikingly mastered rib is preserved without a break for the control panel, allowing it to develop its full visual effect.
The SJ-200 Original comes with a Vintage case that perfectly complements the look of the guitar. So nothing stands in the way of your first live performance!

The Gibson SJ-200 is called the “King of Flat-Tops” for a reason. Since its original release in 1937, it has become one of the most played acoustic guitars in the world. Gibson currently has three different SJ-200 models in its range. Firstly, the inexpensive SJ-200 Studio. It consists of a Sitka spruce top with rib and bottom made of either walnut or rosewood. The standard version of the SJ-200 comes with maple bottom and rib and a Sitka spruce top , and the standard also has an LR Braggs pickup system. In the premier class, the guitars from the custom shop follow. These instruments vary in the wood used, but also have a built-in pickup system from LR Braggs. All SJ-200 guitars are built in the USA by talented luthiers and are subject to the highest quality standards.

Die US-amerikanische Gibson Guitar Corporation, gegründet 1902 von Orville Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan, wurde zu Beginn bekannt durch die Fertigung von Mandolinen und Banjos. Heutzutage befindet sich der Hauptsitz der Firma in Nashville, Tennessee und Gibson zählt zu den weltweit namhaftesten und renommiertesten Herstellern von E-Gitarren.
Das Modell Les Paul, benannt nach seinem Erschaffer Lester William Polsfuss, ist eine der bekanntesten und meistverkauften E-Gitarrenformen aller Zeiten und begründete die Bauform der Single Cut-Gitarre, die von zahlreichen anderen Herstellern kopiert, übernommen und neuinterpretiert wurde. Die Les Paul wird hauptsächlich für ihren als warm und druckvoll charakterisierten Sound geschätzt. Auch der dafür mitverantwortliche Humbucker-Tonabnehmer, in seiner heute geläufigen Bauweise, wurde von Seth Lover bei Gibson entwickelt.
Anfang der 1960er Jahre erschien mit der Gibson SG eine weitere Solidbody E-Gitarre aus dem Hause Gibson. Zunächst als Nachfolger der Les Paul gedacht, wurde sie, auch dank Angus Young von AC/DC, zu einer weiteren Ikonen der Rock-Geschichte und ist die Grundlage für den Typ der Double Cut-Gitarre.
Mit der Flying V und der Explorer zeichnet sich Gibson für zwei Korpusformen verantwortlich, die zwar zum Zeitpunkt ihres Erscheinens, Ende der 1950er Jahre, ihrer Zeit viel zu weit voraus waren, aber im Laufe der Jahre ebenfalls Legendenstatus erreichten. Bis heute dienen sie auch als Grundlage für eine Vielzahl von Heavygitarren, beispielsweise von Herstellern wie Jackson oder ESP.
Der Gibson Custom Shop fertigt Auftragsarbeiten, hochwertige Einzelstücke und exakte Replikate berühmter Modelle und legendärer Jahrgänge ihrer Instrumente an. Oft werden diese auch einem künstlichen Alterungsprozess, genannt Relicing, unterzogen.
Fast genauso lange wie das Unternehmen existiert, werden auch Akustikgitarren produziert. So zählen die J-45, die Hummingbird, die L-00 und die SJ-200 zu den beliebtesten Westerngitarren der Welt und waren das Instrument der Wahl für Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley oder John Lennon.
