Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Solange, Vampire Weekend and Tyler, The Creator, he skillfully mixes a wide variety of genres. Lacy conjures up musical gems with polyphonic vocals, charming LoFi elements and psychedelic arrangements... and what's most amazing: he doesn't need a large studio to do this, but produces most of the material with his smartphone and his Fender Stratocaster.
The Steve Lacy People Pleaser Stratocaster has an alder body with an intense chaos burst finish. The sound is provided by Player Plus Noiseless single coils and the integrated fuzz – an inspiring combination! The People Pleaser gets its outstanding playability from a neck with a modern “Deep C” profile including a maple fretboard with a 9.5” radius and narrow tall frets. The design details are typical for Steve: inlay with two dice on the 12th fret, engraved neck plate with a self-designed motif, colorful cover plate in a green-blue checkerboard pattern. The Vintage-style suitcase with green plush lining is also completely to Steve's taste.
