About Jack White
Jack White - whose real name is John Anthony Gillis - grew up in a large family with nine siblings. He began playing guitar at the age of 15, having previously taught himself to play the drums. From 1992, he studied music at Detroit's Cass Technical High School and did an apprenticeship in an upholstery business on the side. In 1996, Jack opened his own upholstery shop, Third Man Upholstery. The colour scheme was yellow and black, similar to his later label Third Man Records. The first band Jack White played in as a guitarist was Two Part Resin. After Dominic Suchyta left the three-man band, only Jack and his colleague Brian Muldoon remained. The two played only guitar and drums as a duo from late 1993 to 1996. When Brian also lost interest in the band, Jack came up with the idea of putting his supposed sister Meg on drums. Although she had no experience, the two decided to continue as The White Stripes. From 1997 to 2011 he was the leader of the garage rock band, since the beginning of 2012 Jack has been touring as a solo musician, in addition to his solo project he is a member of the bands The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. He is ranked 70th in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
An Acoustasonic just the way Jack likes it
From acoustic shape-shifting to electric rhythm tones, this powerful guitar uses a revolutionary Fender and Fishman®-designed Acoustic Engine that combines a magnetic pickup with an undersaddle transducer to deliver new sonic expression from the studio to the stage. Dubbed the Triplesonic™, this Acoustasonic Tele® was born from the imagination of Jack White with three distinct tonal realms activated by the 3-way switch including acoustic, clean electric, and overdriven electric, all shapeable with the simplicity and convenience of a master tone control. Built with premium tonewoods including a braced solid spruce top, an alder body, and maple neck and fingerboard, this Acoustasonic is crafted to deliver a truly premium acoustic-electric sonic experience. Other signature details include a satin finished Arctic White neck and body with a black top, a distinct custom 3-ply pickguard designed by Jack, a custom Jack White neck plate, triple dot inlays at the 12th fret, and black locking tuning machines. A deluxe molded hardshell case is also included to provide premium protection and security while traveling.
An evolution of the Acoustasonic conceived and road tested by Jack through years of touring, the Triplesonic delivers eccentric styling, novel material choices and versatile functionality for today’s player.
