Die Fender American Vintage II Serie orientiert sich nicht nur optisch an den historischen Designs, die Musikgeschichte geschrieben haben. Auch viele zeittypische Details haben wir exakt reproduziert: Bodies, Hälse und Hardware, Premium-Finishes sowie Pickups, die sorgfältig auf den Ton des ursprünglichen Modelljahres abgestimmt sind. Jedes Instrument verkörpert dank traditioneller Fender Handwerkskunst den authentischen Charakter und Klang des jeweiligen Originalmodells.
In den späten 50er und frühen 60er Jahren erfreuten sich Fender Musikinstrumente einer stetig wachsenden Beliebtheit. Es gab zwar bereits damals mehrere Modelle im Fender-Sortiment, aber die Stratocaster war mit Abstand die beliebteste. Bis 1961 wurde ihr Design stetig verfeinert. Sie bekam ein 7,25"-Griffbrett aus Palisander spendiert, außerdem ein dreilagiges Pickguard, um die berühmten Strat Kurven zu betonen. Auch die Farbpalette wurde Anfang der 60er Jahre erweitert und Farben wie Fiesta Red und 3-Color Sunburst hielten Einzug ins Fender-Lineup.
Die American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster bietet mit ihrem Premium-Erlekorpus, drei Pure Vintage 1961 Stratocaster Pickups und Ahornhals im „Medium C” Profil mit Slab-Griffbrett aus Palisander im 7.25” Radius den Ton und das Spielgefühl des Originals. Zu den weiteren Details gehören historisch korrektes synchronisiertes Tremolo mit kaltgewalztem Stahlblock und gebogenen Stahl-Saitenreitern, „Fender Deluxe” Single-Line-Tuner, und ein dreilagiges Pickguard.
Die American Vintage II Serie bringt klassische Fender-Modelle in ihrer ursprünglichen Form zurück und ist damit ideal für Musiker, die den Fender Vintage-Sound und das dazugehörende Spielgefühl lieben und höchste Qualität zu schätzen wissen - bis zur letzten Schraube.
