Die Fender American Vintage II Serie orientiert sich nicht nur optisch an den historischen Designs, die Musikgeschichte geschrieben haben, sondern auch viele zeittypische Details haben wir exakt reproduziert: Bodies, Hälse und Hardware, Premium-Finishes sowie Pickups, die sorgfältig auf den Ton des ursprünglichen Modelljahres abgestimmt sind. Jedes Instrument verkörpert dank traditioneller Fender Handwerkskunst den authentischen Charakter und Klang des jeweiligen Originalmodells.
Ein Jahr nach der Premiere unserer Broadcaster bekam Fender ein Telegramm von der Fred Gretsch Mfg. Co. mit einer Unterlassungsaufforderung. Daraufhin musste Leo Fender sich einen neuen Namen für das Flaggschiff unserer E-Gitarren ausdenken. 1951 kam die erste Blackguard Telecaster auf den Markt, das Modell wird bis heute produziert. Auffallend schlicht und trotzdem ein Gamechanger, denn mit der Telecaster wurde die Solid Body E-Gitarre massentauglich - und zur Inspirationsquelle für unzählige Musiker.
Mit ihrem Eschekorpus in Butterscotch Blonde entspricht die American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster klanglich und optisch dem Original. Der Hals aus Hard Rock Maple (Felsenahorn) ist im kräftigen ‘51 U-Profil gearbeitet und spielt sich traumhaft. Auf dem 7.25” Griffbrett thronen Vintage Tall Frets. Typisch für das Produktionsjahr 1951 ist das enge Dot-Spacing am 12. Bund. Ebenfalls historisch exakt sind Details wie die Kreuzschlitz-Schraube für die Halsstab-Einstellung, eine Bridge mit drei Messing-Saitenreitern und die Reihenmechanik mit „Fender Deluxe” Tunern. Pure Vintage '51 Telecaster Pickups liefern das begehrte Tele Twang und authentischen Fender Style.
