Packed with player-focused features and iconic style, the Wolfgang Specal Striped is a very appealing and powerful sounding instrument that was born to really rock out. It features a basswood body with an arched top, a sturdy graphite-reinforced maple neck, and a fast ebony fretboard with a 12"-16" compound radius and 22 jumbo frets, allowing for energetic riffs and fast-paced leads.
A neck mounted truss rod adjustment dial also allows for quick and easy neck relief adjustments - a feature guitar technicians will be thankful for. The crystal-clear, specially developed EVH Wolfgang humbucking pickup are mounted directly on the body and provide a rich, sparkling sound as well as an almost endless sustain for power chords and melodic lines. Every component of this guitar has been selected and positioned for fast playing. The Volume controls allows for quick, violin-like bursts of volume with ease, while the Tone controls is less easy to turn - preventing unwanted shifts as the picking hand flies wildly over the strings . The rock-solid Floyd Rose Locking tremolo bridge combined with the Floyd Rose Locking saddle ensures precise tuning, no matter how crazy your whammy bar technique gets. The EVH D-Tuna tunes to Drop-D and back again with absolute precision.
The Wolfang Special Striped is available in the eye-catching colors red with black and white stripes, black with yellow stripes and white with black stripes, black headstock and chrome-plated hardware .
