The EVH Frankenstein - a piece of rock music history
There are very few guitars out there that are as famous as Eddie Van Halen's favorite 6-string sidekick, lovingly known as "Frankenstein." This guitar was Eddie's attempt to combine the sound of a classic single-cut solid body guitar with the physical attributes and tremolo bar functionality of a Fender Stratocaster. The EVH Frankenstein "Frankie" Series is a civilian variant of Eddie Van Halen's iconic red, black, and white Frankenstrat guitar - complete with a worn-in relic finish.

Construction and parts
Crafted from a solid piece of basswood, this solid-body electric guitar offers a throaty, growling sound that lets you blast through a groovy rhythm section with ease. A Wolfgang humbucker mounted directly on the body provides Eddie's classic sound, especially if you use it with a high-gain amplifier.
Equipped with a slim, quartersawn maple neck and a flat maple fingerboard with a compound radius, this guitar was born for shredding. The Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo Bridge with EVH D-Tuna lets you mimic Eddie's signature trem work with ease and gives you instant access to Drop D tuning. The EVH Frankenstein Series models are full of classic Van Halen vibe, but most importantly, they offer killer tone and lightning-fast playability.

Electric guitars from the master himself
Welcome to the world of EVH, the brand that represents the legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen. Eddie Van Halen, known as one of the most influential guitarists of all time, has created EVH, a brand that reflects his innovative strength and his love of music. Eddie Van Halen stands not only for brilliant and epochal guitar solos, but also for the legendary instruments on which he presented his groundbreaking guitar playing.
Early in his career, he built his own guitars, such as the legendary Frankenstein. He later teamed up with Peavey to develop the groundbreaking 5150 guitar amp. A few years ago, Eddie entered into a cooperation with Fender, which resulted not only in the third version of the 5150 guitar amp, but also in various versions of his perfectly designed and crafted Wolfgang electric guitars.
