What do you think of first when someone mentions a Thunderbird Bass? The distinctive form designed by legendary car designer Ray Dietrich? The sustain-enhancing nine-ply neck-through-body construction / acoustic? The punchy lows from the two high-performance bass humbucking pickups? Classic, eye-catching, auto-inspired custom colors? In honor of the 60th anniversary of the groundbreaking Gibson Thunderbird, Epiphone is proud to introduce the Thunderbird '64. Inspired by the Vintage Gibson T-Bird basses of that era, the new Thunderbird '64 retains all the classic elements that made the originals iconic, from the nine-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through-body construction / acoustic to the instantly recognizable embossed Thunderbird logo on the three-ply pickguard.
Once you take it out of the included premium gig bag and plug it in, you'll immediately notice the Thunderbird '64's deep, rich tone, brought to life by a pair of powerful ProBucker 760 Bass humbucking pickup coupled with CTS potentiometers. Modern features like a new Graph Tech saddle and Clover button tuner with a 19:1 gear ratio keep tuning in tune, but the focus here is on Vintage vibes. Available in Ember Red, Silver Mist and Inverness Green, the Thunderbird '64 offers the specs, look, playability and tone of a priceless Vintage Thunderbird at an affordable price.

When you think of Epiphone , you immediately think of Gibson, as the manufacturer of guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories has been part of the company since 1957. Epiphone mainly offers instruments from the low to mid-price segment. This means that beginners also have the opportunity to buy electric guitar and bass classics such as Les Paul, SG, Explorer, Firebird, ES-335 or Thunderbird for little money. There are also instruments from the old days of Epiphone, Casino, Wildkat, Riviera and Wilshire. Beginners should take a closer look at Epiphone 's entry-level sets in the areas of electric guitar, western guitar and electric bass.
