The Epiphone Adam Jones Art Collection consists of seven Silverburst Les Paul Custom models, each featuring reproductions of various works of art on the back. Only 800 guitars of each model will be produced. This unprecedented limited edition collection brings together Adam's love of art and music.
About the artist
In his childhood, Adam Jones first played the violin and later the electric bass. While at school, he played in a band called Electric Sheep with Tom Morello, later guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave . After graduating from school and studying FX technology, he founded the progressive metal band TOOL with his neighbor Maynard James Keenan, bassist Paul d'Amour and drummer Danny Carey. He also took over video production for the band and shot the famous TOOL videos, which differ from ordinary music videos with their stop-motion technique, drab colors and grotesque figures. On stages around the world he impresses with his technically sophisticated guitar playing.
A homage to art
This model from the Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection features Julie Heffernan's “Self Portrait as Not Dead Yet” on the back. It has a bound mahogany body with a maple top, a three-piece bound maple neck with the Adam Jones Custom profile, and an ebony fretboard . An Epiphone Custom ProBucker and a Seymour Duncan Distortion provide the official sound . The silverburst finish is characteristic of Adams guitars and gives this model an aged optics .
