The Electro Harmonix Silencer is a practical helper in a sturdy enclosure. This noise gate has a simple structure, but is very effective and individually adjustable. There are three controls for tuning, Tresh defines the level of the gate at which point it becomes active; Reduction controls the degree by which the signal is reduced and Release controls how long the gate remains effective after the signal level has fallen below the threshold again.
