Tape delays are loved for their warmth and charming imperfection compared to digital delays. Their precursors could be pushed to saturation, and over time the tape in the Vintage delay machines became weaker, resulting in a characteristic warble beloved by many. These distinctive elements have been captured and packed into Electro-Harmonix's Pico Rerun Tape delay . Based on the tape delay algorithm of the Canyon delay & looper, the Rerun offers Vintage vibes with modern features.
The Rerun has simple control and a tap tempo that is easy to use in any situation. BLEND sets the wet/dry mix. DELAY controls the delay time from 8 milliseconds to 3 seconds. SAT only adds band saturation and distortion to the wet signal for additional crunch, leaving the dry signal unaffected by the additional distortion. FDBK adjusts the level of repeats from one to infinity to achieve uncontrolled oscillation. You can also press and hold the footswitch to instantly activate infinite repeats. The FLUTTER mode switches toggles between low, medium and heavy modulation effects, ranging from light chorus to heavy distortion.
Tap Tempo is simple and easy to use. Simply press the footswitch at least twice to set the tempo and the LED will flash to confirm your tap tempo. Additionally, the Rerun features a selectable tails bypass, allowing echoes to continue after the pedal is bypass .
