The EHX Pico Canyon echo contains the digital delay of the award-winning Canyon delay and looper and is designed as an echo pedal. The Canyon echo impresses with a crystal clear delay and is a simple, basic delay with a delay time of three seconds. But don't let the size fool you, this canyon is deep! With filtering, tap tempo, and a feedback controls that allows infinite delay repeats, this little echo is ready for most time-bending tasks.
The Pico Canyon echo has a BLEND controls that can be used to set the perfect wet/dry mix. The DELAY controls sets the delay time from 8 milliseconds to 3 seconds. FEEDBACK is adjustable from one to infinite repeats for endless delay sounds. Turn the FILTER controls above 12 o'clock and it works as a high pass filter, while before 12 o'clock it is a low pass filter.
The Tap Tempo function is simple and easy to use. Simply press the footswitch at least twice to set the tempo and the LED will flash to confirm your tap tempo. The tempo can then be divided from a quarter note to a dotted eighth note to an eighth note using the TAP DIV button. The Canyon echo also has a selectable tails bypass, so the echoes continue to play when the pedal is switched to bypass .
The Canyon echo also features a new type of Infinite Repeats, where a single delay is repeated and the input is taken out of the delay path. This makes the pedal work like a micro tape looper that can be overplayed without creating new delays. The micro loop can also be manipulated to create distorted sound effects if you adjust the DELAY controls accordingly.
