The Duke Meister ST is made of solid construction and combines CITES-free tonewoods with an innovative thermal spruce top. The body is made of Santos rosewood and does not fall under the provisions of the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Endangered Species that came into force on January 2, 2017. In addition, Santos rosewood is an excellent tonewood with an exciting wood structure which fits brilliantly into the Duke Meister line.
Based on the latest research results, the spruce top from the alpine highlands of Graubünden in Switzerland was refined using a thermo-vacuum process. This artificial aging process positively changes the sound and makes the wood less susceptible to fluctuations in humidity. In addition, the wood gets a pleasant, warm color.
After careful manufacturing in China, each Duke undergoes an hour-long rework by a guitar maker in Tübingen, Swabia. All Dukes are shipped to retailers with newly dressed and polished frets and the string position ready to play. This means we guarantee a pleasant-to-play classical guitar from day one.
