A special features of these basses is the use of the fanned-frets construction (fanned frets). The frets are embedded in the fretboard in such a way that the scale length of the low strings is longer than that of the high ones. This means that the low strings gain more sustain and the tone is more “accurate”.
In addition, Dingwall has specialized in the production of 5 and even 6-string basses, making them an absolute must for fans of extended range instruments.
