With the Heirloom Series models, the American premium guitar builder Bourgeois Guitars honors the classics of acoustic guitars. The Style 42 OM is a tribute to one of the most famous and popular OM models in history. It has a classic tonewood combination of spruce top and rosewood body. The top made of American red spruce (Adirondack spruce) contributes to a voluminous sound and has a faster response than you are used to with a Sitka spruce top, for example. Madagascar Rosewood, which was used for the body, shows a more striking and intense grain than Indian Rosewood and is therefore very popular. Thanks to the wafer-thin nitro lacquer finish , the sound of the Bourgeois Guitars Heirloom Style 42 OM can develop optimally and shines especially when playing fingerstyle due to the slightly more compact body size.
About Bourgeois Guitars
The Bourgeois Guitars company is known for the handcrafted production of top-class acoustic guitars. All instruments belong to the absolute premium segment. Dana Bourgeois founded Bourgeois Guitars in 1992 after developing a passion for learning and building quality guitars while studying at Bowdoin College in Maine. He built his own guitars in the early 1970s and opened a small shop in Maine in 1977 where he worked as a guitar maker and repairer.
Over the years, Bourgeois Guitars has earned an excellent reputation because the company places great value on true craftsmanship and excellent sound. Only first-class and carefully selected materials are used for the instruments, because quality always comes first. The brand also impresses with its diversity, so guitarists have many different models to choose from, including dreadnoughts, OM models, jumbos and more. Bourgeois guitars are not just acoustic guitars, but lovingly crafted works of art.
