The Boss PS-6 Harmonist is the successor to the well-known PS-5 and, like it, offers pitch shifting and harmonizer effects with a fast response and the highest sound quality. This means that with the Boss PS-6 Harmonist the pitch of the input signal can be shifted up or down by up to two octaves (pitch shifter), which works not only for individual tones but also for entire chords. The Boss PS-6 Harmonist's Harmonist function now allows you to add two tones rather than just one. For example, you can play three-part solos in the correct key with the Boss PS-6 Harmonist. The Boss PS-6 Harmonist also offers a detune mode that can be used to create chorus-like, strongly floating sounds . The Boss PS-6 Harmonist's Super Shift mode allows virtual movements of a vibrato lever, but with much more extreme possibilities, such as up to 4 octaves up and 3 down or crazy slingshot movements. The speed of the virtual lever can of course be preset. Boss PS-6 Harmonist:
