The ARTIPHON Orba 2 is the successor to Artiphon's award-winning synthesizer looper and controller. It has all the beloved features of the still-available original, while also offering numerous groundbreaking and long-awaited upgrades. Thanks to its new sample engine, every imaginable sound can now be played expressively. With the touch of a button in the Orba app, everything around you can be recorded and turned into an Orba preset .
Loops can be recorded directly on the device with the ARTIPHON Orba 2 . Drums, bass, chord and lead can be layered to create unique songs . A quantization function adapts musical phrases to the beat so that every moment fits perfectly into the groove. Since the ARTIPHON Orba 2 has significantly more storage space than its predecessor, significantly longer songs with up to 128 bars can be created.
The ARTIPHON Orba 2 's touch and motion sensors detect even the finest micro-movements. The improved ceramic-like playing surface simultaneously responds to the nine gestures: tap, press, beam, tilt, shake, rotate, vibrato, move and push. Each gesture can control the built-in synth engine or external midi music software. Thanks to its unparalleled expressive potential, no note is played the same twice.
With the preset Creator , Artiphon presents the desktop app for the internal synth engine from Chorda and Orba . You can now create your own Chorda and Orba presets in a simple, playful way, change existing ones as desired and export them.

The Artiphon Orba is an intelligent combination of synthesizer, looper and midi controllers that comes to life in the palm of your hand but can also easily disappear in your jacket pocket. You can use it to create songs or capture initial ideas “in no time.” The 8 touchpads react to even the slightest touch and also recognize a variety of gestures such as tapping, stroking and vibrato. Inside there is a 4-part polyphonic synthesizer with subtractive and physical modeling sounds and enables a wide range of drum, bass, chord and lead sounds.
