Ampeg SVT-4 Pro · Electric bass top
SVT4Pro
The standard on all professional stages: tube preamplifier with continuously variable compressor and graphic EQ, 1200 watt MOSFET amplifier. Don't be afraid of this immense power - good speakers (e.g. those from Ampeg) can withstand this power , as it is primarily noticeable in better impulse behavior and more headroom (low frequencies are known to consume a lot of power).
extendable with the Ampeg AFP-3 footswitch (effects loop, mute & EQ on/off; not including ).
Ampeg is an American manufacturer of electronic bass amplifiers. The company was founded in 1946 by Everette Hull and Stanley Michaels under the name Michaels-Hull Electronic Labs. founded companies back. A pickup for basses developed by Hull, the Amplified Peg, known in short as Ampeg , was produced and sold there. In 1949, Michaels left the company and Hull chose the current name. He was granted six US patents for amplifier . The best-known products are the Ampeg SVT (=Super Valve Technology) in conjunction with an 8 x 10" box, which have been the stage standard since 1969.
Of course, Ampeg has much more to offer than the classic SVT/8x10" cutlery. It is interesting that the transistor amps from this manufacturer also achieve the punchy, mid-range sound character typical of Ampeg .
