The Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass V has a body made of selected alder with curved body contours. For effortless playability, the maple neck features our Modern D profile and a smooth Ultra Satin finish. The 10"-14" compound ebony or maple fingerboard features Ultra Rolled Edges, medium jumbo frets, Luminlay Side Dots and Graph Tech TUSQ nuts. The tapered neck heel and curved contours of the body provide excellent access to the higher registers, while truss rod access at the headstock allows for convenient and easy adjustment.
Fitted with a set of specially designed Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups, this bass offers a huge tonal palette, from vintage warmth to modern snap, all without a hint of hum. The redesigned preamp offers unprecedented control to unlock endless tonal possibilities. Key features include S-1 switching for active/passive operation, passive tone control and active 3-band EQ with switchable centre frequency. Other road-ready features include an adjustable HiMass bridge (top-load or string-through-body), lightweight Fender tuners with tapered shanks, knurled aluminium knobs and a single-ply anodised aluminium pickguard.
