We have tested dynamic vocal microphones for you under €100

With the numerous vocal microphones on the market, you can quickly lose track as a singer. To help you find out which live microphone best reproduces your voice, we carried out a small comparison test with singer Franca Morgano (known for Magic Affair, among others).

We would like to show you the differences in sound between dynamic microphones. Of course, the classic shouldn't be missing: the Shure SM58 has become an indispensable part of the world's stages. And in terms of price, the Vocal Mic sets the upper limit of our comparison at around 100 euros. We will also show you dynamic microphones from other well-known manufacturers: Audix OM2 , AKG D 5 S , Sennheiser e 835 , Beyerdynamic TG V50 d and sound SDM-58 , the most affordable microphone in the test.

We deliberately excluded condenser microphones for the voice. We would also like to emphasize that this is about live use and not about microphones for the studio. For recording purposes, Shure , AKG , Beyerdynamic , Sennheiser and Co. of course offer special vocal microphones, which you can find under studio microphones here on session.

In our video with Franka Morgano and Oliver you can listen to the differences between the microphones. However, you should use headphones or good speakers , because small cell phone or laptop loudspeaker cannot reproduce the differences.
