Deep DAW integration
The Fantom EX can be easily integrated into any computer-based production setup. In addition to customisable touchscreen control, there are specific modes for popular software platforms, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, MainStage, Cubase and Studio One. With the integrated 16x3 audio/MIDI USB interface, you can mix and layer software synthesisers with hardware sounds, send sequencer parts to computer tracks, route DAW sources through the Fantom EX effects and much more.
Extensive connection options
You can connect almost anything to the back of the Fantom EX. Connect microphones and instruments via the XLR combo connectors and route sounds to external destinations via eight individually assignable 6.3 mm jack outputs. Work with MIDI equipment and control software synthesisers directly on the touchscreen. You can also control modular and analogue synthesizers via the two CV/gate outputs.

Sampling-Workstation
With the Fantom EX you can sample internal and external sources - or both at once. Sample directly to the integrated pads to trigger sounds quickly, or to the keyboard for instant pitch sounds. Or create detailed multisamples with up to 352 samples per sound. You can even use samples as the basis of a ZEN Core sound and take your customised sound design to the next level.
Powerhouse for your compositions
Fantom EX is a versatile musical composition platform that gets results fast. Create arrangements quickly and easily with the clip-based workflow. Trigger sounds, clips and patterns using the 16 RGB pads. Compose with the step sequencer in classic TR-REC style or record sounds in real time. The large touchscreen and intuitive piano roll editor are available for fine-tuning your tracks.
A universe full of Roland effects
Professional sound designs and music productions require high-quality effects. The Fantom EX offers a wide range of effects from the huge Roland library to give your parts more colour, space and depth. The newly developed algorithms of the Shimmer Reverb and Modulation Reverb provide a sound quality that can compete with the best standalone processors. The Master FX processor works with preset templates for fast results and offers a redesigned graphical user interface for the Mastering Comp and Mastering EQ sections.
