With this extensive collection of timeless sounds, the KRONOS offers an extraordinary variety of sounds. Whether you are performing as a solo artist or playing in an ensemble, the KRONOS delivers the perfect sounds for any musical challenge.
Convenient control, more intuitive than ever before
The KRONOS' sophisticated control system, which has been instrumental in shaping its legendary reputation, has been further developed and perfected over several generations. The result is a user interface that is both powerful and user-friendly. With eight real-time knobs, nine faders and a multitude of additional control options, the well thought-out layout offers familiar handling that allows you to concentrate fully on the performance.
The central element of operation is the large and responsive TouchView display. It now works faster and more reliably than ever before and provides all relevant information clearly and at a glance.
Thanks to the seamless design, both long-time KRONOS users and newcomers will find their way around immediately. This means that musicians can dive straight into the creative possibilities of the instrument without having to spend a long time reading the operating instructions.

Modern design for a contemporary appearance
The new KRONOS remains true to its tradition and retains the tried-and-tested features that have always made it stand out. At the same time, its design has been revised to give it a modern and elegant look. The powder-coated metal housing is not only extremely robust, but also conveys a high-quality look and feel. Another stylish detail is the black wooden side panels, which give the instrument a timeless elegance. With this revised design, the new KRONOS lives up to its premium claim in every respect - both sonically and visually, it impresses across the board and is therefore an impressive eye-catcher on any stage.
Maximum efficiency and precision
With its optimized system architecture, the new KRONOS focuses on speed and reliability, especially for use in the live area. The start-up process has been accelerated by around 60% compared to previous models, which significantly reduces waiting times when restarting. Combined with the improved TouchView display, the KRONOS offers a modern and fluid user experience. Every interaction feels intuitive and responsive, allowing musicians to concentrate fully on their performance. This combination of speed and precision makes the KRONOS an unbeatable companion on stage and in the studio.

TouchView color display: The heart of the KRONOS
The impressive 8-inch TouchView color display (800 x 600 pixels SVGA) is the central control element of the KRONOS.
With the intuitive touch & drag function, parameter values can not only be selected by touching them, but also adjusted with particular precision. Interactive graphics and control elements offer completely new possibilities, from the simulation of a concert grand piano lid to the virtual wiring of a semi-modular synthesizer. In addition, the integrated search function makes it easier to find sounds: simply search by name, preview and get started straight away - making navigation through the extensive sound library child's play.
Massive sound selection
The KRONOS is already equipped with thousands of sounds at the factory. They have been created with various synthesis modes and can draw on more than 21 GB of pre-programmed waveform data from a wealth of genres. Every single sound has been carefully developed by the KORG sound design team. The internal SSD offers a generous 120 GB* capacity, providing ample space for user samples or downloads from the KRONOS Sound Libraries. These optional KRONOS Sound Expansion Libraries allow you to constantly add new, professionally programmed sounds without having to invest in new hardware. Artist Signature Programs provide the invaluable sounds used by top musicians on stage and in the studio. Other song programs are named after classic rock and pop songs whose typical keyboard sounds they emulate. With these world-famous sounds, you can pay homage to the originals or start your own sound expeditions.
Flexible set list mode for the stage
The KRONOS' Set List mode offers everything musicians need for a song or a complete set. The TouchView display provides 16 color-coded buttons that can be used to call up presets, combinations or sequences at lightning speed - regardless of the current mode. Each button can also be assigned short notes, such as “sing along to chorus”, “transpose down” or “wait for sax solo”, to make live performances even easier.
Another highlight of the Set List mode is the graphic 9-band equalizer, which makes it possible to adapt the overall sound of the KRONOS to the acoustic conditions of the venue. Since operating system version 3.0, the mode is even more customizable: users can choose from different color options and text sizes, use the full-screen text editor and even enter text and numbers conveniently via a USB keyboard. The Set List mode was specially developed to make musicians' everyday live work more efficient and intuitive.
Nine independent sound engines for maximum flexibility
The nine sound engines of the KRONOS each function as independent synthesizers and use the latest technology available for their respective sound generation. Each engine offers specialized programming parameters, real-time controllers, integrated effects and flexible modulation options. This precise control makes it possible to make individual edits and create completely new soundscapes - ideal for creative sound design and customized sounds.

Authentic playing feel thanks to RH3 hammer action
The 88-key and 73-key KRONOS models are equipped with KORG's high-quality RH3 Real Weighted Hammer Action keyboard, which is manufactured in Japan with the utmost care. This keyboard offers an exceptionally realistic playing feel by integrating four different touch zones that mimic the natural resistance of a real piano, creating an authentic piano experience. Despite the generous 88 keys, the design remains slim and fits easily on a standard keyboard stand - a testament to the perfect combination of functionality and elegance that characterizes the KRONOS.
Natural Touch keyboard for fast response
The 61-key model of the KRONOS was specially developed for musicians who appreciate the fast responsiveness of a synthesizer keyboard. This lightly weighted keyboard with aftertouch is ideal for organists, dynamic synthesizer performances or anyone who values the lowest possible transport weight. It combines precision and expressiveness to meet the versatile requirements of modern musicians.
