The new Keystage series from Korg includes two fully comprehensive controllers keyboard solutions for producers and live musicians. The highlight is that the controllers keyboards of the Keystage series support the property exchange function of the midi 2.0 standard and can exchange bi-directionally (i.e. in both directions) with other midi 2.0 devices. Powered by midi 2.0 gives you a seamless plug-and-play experience , where the most important parameters of a connected software or hardware instrument are automatically mapped to the keystage knobs . The names of these parameters and their current values are also displayed in real time in the dedicated OLED displays below the knobs . In addition, you can easily operate all common DAWs such as Ableton Live, Cubase, Logic, Pro Tool, etc. using the transport button section of the Keystage controllers keyboards.

For a gaming experience that is as comfortable as it is authentic, the Keystage series is equipped with a newly developed PolyTouch keyboard with semi-weighted keys that supports both velocity , MPE (midi Polyphonic Expression), as well as channel and even polyphonic aftertouch .
Arpeggiator & Chord mode
Further creative ideas arise almost automatically when dealing with the powerful arpeggiator and the extensive selection of chord modes. The Keystage's arpeggiator is exceptionally versatile and far exceeds the capabilities of traditional midi keyboards. The huge selection of patterns is complemented by numerous customization options, such as: E.g. ratcheting triggered by aftertouch , random functions , gating , etc., added. Additionally, Keystage's Chord mode delivers no fewer than 32 ready-to-use and inspiring chord sets . These can either simply be used exactly as they are saved from the factory , or can be completely changed and then stored in one of the additional 32 user memory . Since each of these individual sets can assign its own chord to each chromatic key of an octave, there are almost no limits to your creativity. The chords can even be played in different ways, such as: B. with a strumming mode for realistic-sounding guitar strumming patterns. These two features provide tons of musical approaches, especially in the song and idea generation process.
Workstation feeling
The integrated USB audio interface is particularly practical. This allows the controllers keyboards to be easily connected to a computer, smartphone or sound system without any additional equipment. Another special features is the practical accessory tray of the Keystage series. This can be attached to the Keystage at two different angles and offers enough space for a smart device, tablet or small laptop (the latter only with Keystage 61), especially during live operation, and creates a real workstation feeling in the smallest of spaces.
