Streamliner: designs
Within the Streamliner Collection, solid bodies, hollow bodies and center block models (semi-hollow) are offered in the body shapes Double Cut, Single Cut and Jr. The focus when designing the instruments is on feedback-free, high- gain-friendly performance, even on loud stages. Especially for hollow and semi-hollow models, the body design has been carefully thought out and continually improved over the years to ensure feedback-free performance.
Streamliner: Tonewoods
When selecting the woods, emphasis was placed on good sound properties and low weight , which improves performance when standing. Nato is usually used for necks and bodies of Solibodys, while laminated maple wood is used for guitars with a hollow body. On the necks with a modern, comfortable Soft “C” profile, laurel fingerboards with a flat 12” radius form the perfect basis for fast riffs and hot solos.

Streamliner: pickup
Gretsch designed the Gretsch Broad'Tron™ BT-3S humbuckers specifically for the Streamliner Collection and launched them on the market in 2023. These pickup are installed on most instruments in the series and deliver a modern, high-energy tone with powerful bass, clear highs and a crisp midrange. Some models also use FideliSonic P-90s, which deliver a more defined tone with a less hot output .
Streamliner: equipment and finishes
The intuitive controls layout consists of a master volume controls with treble bleed circuit, a master tone controls, separate pickup volume controls and a 3-way pickup toggle switch. Other characteristic features include Adjusto-Matic- bridge saddles made of synthetic bone. Models with a “T” in the designation also have a Bigsby vibrato.
The choice of models is already large, the selection of colors is even larger! From Vintage style to modern, bright colors and metallic finishes, every guitarist will find the right instrument. Nothing stands in the way of a cost-effective entry into the world of Gretsch !
