Gibson Falcon Amps
Comeback of a classic
The original Falcon GA-19RVT was a guitar amplifier from 1961. With the Falcon and several other models, Gibson introduced amplifiers with reverb in the early 1960s - even before Fender. In addition, the Falcon also featured a tremolo.
Now the Falcon amplifiers are returning to the Gibson lineup. The Falcon 5 and Falcon 20 take you back to the heyday of guitar-heavy music with their vintage sound and iconic look, without missing any modern functionality.

The history of the Falcon amplifiers
The Vintage Falcon delivered 14 watts of power from two 6V6 tubes and had a Jensen 12" speaker. The preamp was powered by three 6EU7 tubes and a 7199 for the reverb circuit. It also had a 5V3GT rectifier tube. In contrast Compared to later Fender reverb amplifiers, the Falcon had a rather unusual arrangement of the reverb circuit: Instead of being arranged after the preamp section and mixing the wet with the dry signal, the Falcon's reverb circuit taps into the signal before the volume and tone controls and mixes it with the dry signal using independent volume controls .

The new Falcon models
The new Falcon models are simple single-channel amps that focus on great sound and ease of operation . The ultra-simple design has volume and tone controls as well as additional reverb and tremolo effects switchable via footswitch , adding dimension and character to the sound , increasing the amp's enjoyment and usefulness in a wide range of musical styles increase.
The two new Falcon models are also equipped with 6V6 power amp valves and Jensen Blackbird Alnico speakers, which come particularly close to the sound of the originals from the 60s. Both models are delivered with a cover; the Falcon 20 also including a vintage style footswitch. The Gibson Falcon Amps are manufactured by Mesa/Boogie in Pentaluma, California.
