EVH SA-126
The next generation of EVH guitars
Eddie Van Halen is of course known to almost all metal and hard rock enthusiasts. After his death, his son Wolfgang, after whom the EVH Wolfgang guitar series is named, is now following in his famous father's footsteps as a guitar designer. The SA-126 guitars are Wolfgang Van Halen's interpretation of how a modern guitar should be equipped, look and sound in the 21st century. Below we present the different SA-126 models.

Wolfgang's vision of the perfect guitar
Wolfgang Van Halen took a significantly different approach to the design of the SA-126 than his father did with his Wolfgang and Frankenstein models, even if a certain visual similarity to the Wolfgang can be recognised.
The EVH SA-126 is a mixture of semi-hollow and solid-body guitar: A solid body with chambering and a centre block, combined with a bolt-on neck and equipped with features that are otherwise only known from much more expensive guitars, such as a slim neck, jumbo frets and pickups with a higher output. Designed by Wolfgang with versatility in mind, the instrument offers the perfect balance between pounding rhythm sounds and lightning-fast lead lines.

Design and model versions
Like the Wolfgang, the SA-126 is available as a Standard and Special model. The Standard is slightly more affordable than the Special, but the Special looks more impressive thanks to its high-quality mahogany body, which is also available with a flamed maple top depending on the colour. The Standard has a Nyatoh body and a baked maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, while the Special has a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard.
The SA-126 has a chambered body with a centre block that provides stability and tone. The neck has a 22 fret 12"-16" fingerboard with jumbo frets. With a scale length of 24.75" inches, this guitar feels like a modern classic that is familiar and comfortable. A wheel at the end of the neck allows for quick and easy adjustment of the neck bend.

New pickups and bridges
The EVH SA-126 bridge and neck pickups were developed by Fender's chief pickup designer Tim Shaw and the EVH team and can do pretty much anything you ask of them. From the elegant sound of glassy cleans to a heavy overdrive sound that will satisfy even the most demanding gainers. A three-way toggle on the upper horn switches between the two pickups. Other features include a harmonica bridge on the Special models and a Tune-O-Matic bridge on the Standard models, as well as a stop-bar tailpiece, oversized strap buttons and EVH-branded keystone tuners.
