The Evans Hybrid Sensory Percussion sound system combines the powerful Sunhouse software with touch-sensitive drum sensors and the Evans Portal audio interface , which work together to transform your acoustic drums into an expressive controllers for digital sounds . The sensors can easily be fixed between 2 tension screws on the rim of the rim or bass drum. They are connected to the laptop/computer via the Evans Portal Audio interface via four external audio inputs, including 2x XLR Mic/Line combination sockets and 2x 6.3mm line-ins. Thanks to advanced software from Sunhouse, vibrations are converted into digital sounds. The sensors detect up to 10 independent zones per drum.
Each of the different zones can generate samples and effects and assign midi data. Assigning the sounds is easy and intuitive using drag-and-drop . With a generous and ever-growing library of 6 sound packs , 106 custom sets and 2,363 raw samples, there's a variety of sounds to choose from. And if you want, you can feed the software with your own sounds and samples and edit them according to your ideas using the extensive range of effects.

The SPv2 software was developed from the ground up. The Sunhouse Sensory Percussion software offers a range of flexible inputs and outputs, a variety of effects, a constantly growing sound library and comprehensive options for controlling sequences, tones, chords, effects and other parameters in real time with your playing.
Drum sensors
The new drum sensors have also been improved. They have become smaller, slimmer and more sensitive. The Sensory Percussion Sensors are designed so that they can be used with almost all common snares, toms and bass drums. They are connected to the Evans portal interface via 3.5mm jack cables.
Evans Portal Audio interface
The Portal Audio interface is already considered the ultimate interfaces for drummers. The interface seamlessly connects sensors and software . It offers seven sensor connections for easy “plug & play”. There are also 2x XLR Mic/Line combination sockets, 2x 6.3mm Line In, 1x ADAT Out, 6x 6.3mm Line Out (2x Main + 4x Aux) and 2x headphone out (3.5mm / 6.3mm). This means that the portal can be used as a fully-fledged audio interface for recording or live use.
