New Epiphone guitars – Inspired by Gibson Collection
Epiphone has restructured a lot for the new decade. The inexpensive and only official replicas of Gibson guitars are now appearing as part of the Inspired By Gibson Collection , which we would like to introduce to you here in detail and with a video.
Open Book vs. Kalamazoo Headstock
The community's long-standing desire to get closer to Gibson's famous open-book headstock has been fulfilled with the new Kalamazoo headstock , which is closely based on the model. According to Gibson, the entire series was also redesigned based on old blueprints.
New components meet classic colors
In addition to some new components such as Graph Tech Nuts and the deluxe tuner developed in collaboration with the Gibson custom shop , the electronic components in particular have been significantly improved, which means that CTS pots can now be found in the guitars, for example. The pickups were also completely overhauled. The baseplate and covers of Epiphone's ProBucker are made from 18% German silver , the same alloy used by Gibson during the invention of the humbucker. With this improvement, the pickup deliver a more transparent and clear sound.
Classic finishes such as Iced Tea Burst, TV Yellow or Honey Burst were included in the range for the 50s, 60s and Classic models.

A modern version is also now available. This impresses with its asymmetrical neck profile, ebony fingerboard and adapted neck transition, weight-reduced body, locking tuning machines and push-pull potentiometers for coil split and Phase switch.
